THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION THE WORD OF TRUTH (See my timeline for the continuation with Sis White quotes:) PART 2

The gospel of salvation is the word of truth as revealed from Jesus in the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. It is not as some think simply about the event of the cross, which really is a testimony of the Righteousness of God which is also revealed from Genesis to Revelation but in the suffering of Christ unto death it is revealed in a more superlative way. As it is written in Rom. 3:21-22 and I quote: "But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets (all the scriptures);
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:"
[Note: the faith of Jesus Christ is the revealed truths of Christ and is not the believing of Jesus Christ which contextually would not make sense]
This Righteousness of God which is God Himself (Jer.23:6) is revealed from the faith of Jesus and is that crucial entity that makes the gospel of salvation work, as it is written in Rom.1:16-17: "16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed out of (Gr. - ek) faith into (Gr.- eis) faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."
The faith of Jesus Christ which contains the Righteousness of God is revealed in the entire scriptures (Genesis to Revelation) and is what makes a person wise unto salvation as it is written in 2Tim.3:15 "15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." Timothy was told by Paul that the same faith that was in him was first in His mother and Grandmother. This is because they too had studied the scriptures to obtain the faith thereof before he was even a child and not that they held just the event of the cross in their consciousness and that made them wise unto salvation. I quote 2Tim1:5 "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also."
Thus the bible tells us the gospel of our salvation is the word of truth. I quote Eph.1:13 " In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," This same word of truth we are told in other scriptures saves us, I quote James 1:18,21 "18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." and 1Tim.4:16 "16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."
Thus I petition all to give careful attention to the truth of the scriptures as revealed under Holy in Spirit in penitence, and not hold that simply the event of Christ's death is your salvation, with the effect to take your grasp off of that vital commodity that really is your salvation, which is the Righteousness of God out of the faith of Jesus as revealed out of the word of truth in the scriptures.
Maranatha, Our Lord soon come, be ready, hold fast to the truth.

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...

MRS WHITE QUOTES ON THE 1888 MESSAGE REJECTION

1. “The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones.” — TM p. 91. 2. “God gave to His servants a testimony that presented the truth as it is in Jesus, which is the third angel’s message, in clear distinct lines” — TM p. 93. 3. “The message of the gospel of His grace was to be given to the church in clear and distinct lines, that the world should no longer say that Seventh-Day Adventists talk the law, the law, but do not teach or believe Christ. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power.” — TM p. 92. 4. “This is the very work which the Lord designs that the message He has given His servants, shall perform in the heart and mind of every human agent….God gave to His messengers just what the people needed.” — TM p. 95. 5. “The Lord would have these grand themes studied in our churches, and if every church member shall give entrance to the word of God it will give light and...

EGW QUOTE ON SINFUL NATURE

We are told that Jesus had our “sinful nature.” “He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, 7/30/02. “In him was no guile nor sinfulness,….yet He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ibid. From what we have just read, we see that the term “sinful nature” for Mrs. White does not mean that the person has sin for she says that Jesus was sinfree. But what does sinful nature mean that the person? A. It means human nature affected by sin not infected with  sin. B. It means human nature weakened by sin, but not resided by sin. C. This is the Mind, Emotions/Passions, Flesh and Experience weakened by sin, but not necessarily indwelt by sin. D. It is quite true that man’s sinful nature, a nature weakened by sin, in the average sinner may have sin in it. So sinful nature for the sinner in sin is a nature weakened by sin, but the man has sin in this nature. E. This means the man has sin in his Mind, Passions/Emotions, Experience, and sin in his flesh is sin in his Mi...
