EXCERPTS TAKEN FROM: REVELATION 13 STUDIES By Nyron Medina. The Sunday Veneration Head: 142 A.C.B to 325 A.C.B.

a. The first head is the Sunday-Veneration head Nicea.
b. The Sunday Veneration head spans the first period when Sunday exaltation was developed and presented to the churches in the Roman Empire. This is between 142-325 A.C.B.
c. It was primarily the bishops or leaders of a head church in the city of Rome at a certain time, ratified Sunday, the first day of the week, as having some form of mysterious import.
d. By developing a theology that rejected the 14th of the first lunar month as the church’s custom to eat the Passover bread and drink the wine; leaders in the church, in Rome, made Friday, the sixth day of the week, of the first month of eah year, as the day to recognize the death of Christ, disregarding the date of the 14th, and thus whatever day it fell on each year. Every Saturday or seventh day that followed the Friday, chosen by the leaders in the church of Rome and was eventually made a fast day, denigrating the seventh day Sabbath. And the following Sunday or the first day of the week, that disregards the 16th of the first lunar month of each year as the date on which Jesus was resurrected, was exalted as the day on which to eat the Passover bread and drink the wine. This particular day was made a holy day by the leaders of a church in the city of Rome.
e. This new Good Friday ( as now called ), Glorious Saturday, and Easter Sunday became the new defining image of the church in Rome as against the other churches in the Roman Empire, and was decreed by various bishops of that head church in Rome.
f. It was this so-called Catholic Holy Week with its Passover Sunday that was used as a means of undermining the seventh day Sabbath of every week, especially when a Sunday Eucharist, or Sunday eating of bread was then made a weekly affair.
g. During this period, the churches slowly began to keep Sunday for the Eucharist, while the Sabbath was yet kept, but depreciated by various writers, and by a fast being decreed on the Sabbath.
h. Various writers called “church fathers”, used a variety of terms to call Sunday, to exalt it has having a certain mysterious regard. It was called “the eight day”, it was first called the “Lord’s day”, it was touted as the day (not date) upon which Jesus resurrected; it was even called the beginning of a “different creation”.
i. Sunday worship was an ideology (Sundayism). It started as a theology of the Holy Week and then was eventually legislated as the first Sunday Law in the Roman Empire in 321 A.C.B., eventually in 325 A.C.B., in the Council of Nicea the Holy Week with its Passover Sunday was legislated for all to follow or face penalty from the State. After this, almost all the churches in the Roman Empire adopted this Holy Week causing the 14th of the first lunar month as the Passover to disappear.
j. The exaltation of the first day of the week, Sunday, as against the seventh day Sabbath of YHWH by the pastors of the particular church in Rome did irreparable damage to the psyche and thus to the image of these bishops. They developed overreaching and unbearable arrogance and exaltation to the point of Lucifer’s claim to be God with God, thus they became the seat of Lucifer which he gave to them. All this developed the first head of the Papacy.

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we are

DID ELLEN G. WHITE EVER CALL THE S.D.A. CHURCH BABYLON IN ANY WAY? BY NYRON MEDINA

In the Bible is brought to view the following statement: “And after these things I  saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was  lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying,  Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all  nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the  earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are  waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice  from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her  sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:1-4. Of this Scripture  we are told that it speaks about the Church, fallen because of sins. “In amazement  they [the people] hear the testimony that Babylon is the church,
