A SUMMARY OF THUSIA SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH (TRINIDAD) SABBATH MORNING STUDY

Summarize by Sis Alyssa Jsingh.
Grace and peace brethren. Today Bro. Medina was giving a beautiful study entitled "the real perspective of things" and it was showing how by keeping the whole law of God one would exalt God God to be God alone thus defeating the arguments of the devil that a creation would be God with God. This can be shown via the following scriptures James 2:8-12 which says "If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty." This particular scripture is emphasising that the whole law must be kept. However, what kind of experience should one have who keeps the law of God or does the work of the law as shown in James 1:25 " But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth (greek translation is abide) therein, he not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed"? Well for one to keep the law of God one must be sinfree or justified by faith because we know that sin is the transgression of the law as shown in 1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law for sin is the transgression of the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." Additionally that same sinfree experience can be identified by being justified by faith because justification by faith would cause the imputation of the righteousness of God in the heart thus giving the spiritual mind and removing the carnal mind as shown in Romans 8:6-8, Romans 5:1 and Romans 4:5-7 "Romans 8:6-8 "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." Romans 5:1 "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 4:5-7 "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered." So justification by faith would give the spiritual mind when God imputes His righteousness (Jeremiah23:5-6) which is the righteousness without works into one's heart (mind). And we know that Romans 3:30-31 says "Seeing it is ONE GOD, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid, we establish the law" So faith or justification by faith allows us to establish the law or keep the whole law (of which to break one is to break all) and also shows that there is one God who is God alone. We see this in Mark 12:29 "And Jesus answered him, The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord (YHWH) our God is one Lord (YHWH). So in essence by having a justified or sinfree experience it will always reveal a particular knowledge that faith would show that we identify as the greatest commandment. God is God alone. Thus when we have this particular experience we identify ourselves as having the same experience that the 144,000 would have as shown in revelation 14:3-5 "And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God." They are without fault, thus they are sinfree, not defiled with women or false religion (because we know a woman represents a church as shown in Ephesians 6:25). Thus the experience that the 144,000 have is one that would exalt God to be God alone as shown in Revelation 15:2-4 " And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest." We know that to glorify God or the name of God is to show that God is God alone. This is seen in Psalm 86:9-10 "All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone." So to glorify the name of God is to show that He is God alone which is what the 144,000 testify of in their experience. This experience is what is needed to not accept the mark of the beast, because the mark of the beast exalts Sunday as the day of worship that was changed by the papacy.
"It was the holy Catholic Church that changed the day of rest from Saturday to Sunday, the 1st day of the week. And it not only compelled all to keep Sunday, but at the Council of Laodicea, AD 364, anathematized those who kept the Sabbath and urged all persons to labor on the 7th day under penalty of anathema." Catholic Priest T. Enright, CSSR, Kansas City, MO:,
"Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act…And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters." Letter from C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons on October 28, 1895:. We know that the papacy as identified in Revelation 13:2 got her authority from the dragon "And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon (Satan - Revelation 12:9) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." So so accept the mark of the beast which is sunday worship is to exalt Satan to be God with God which is the original arguement of Satan in Heaven. Isaiah 14:12-14 " How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to
the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." and Matthew 4:8-10 "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." In essence the only way to defeat the arguments of the devil that creation can be a God with God is to have an experience that would exalt God as God alone and that only comes by being justified by faith which allows us to keep the whole law of God and exalt God as God alone. We will not accept a spurious "Sabbath" (Sunday) but keep the true Sabbath that is the 7th-Day which shows that God is God alone!

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we are

DID ELLEN G. WHITE EVER CALL THE S.D.A. CHURCH BABYLON IN ANY WAY? BY NYRON MEDINA

In the Bible is brought to view the following statement: “And after these things I  saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was  lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying,  Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all  nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the  earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are  waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice  from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her  sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:1-4. Of this Scripture  we are told that it speaks about the Church, fallen because of sins. “In amazement  they [the people] hear the testimony that Babylon is the church,

IMPUTED AND IMPARTED RIGHTEOUSNESS EXPLAINED By Nyron Medina

IMPUTED AND IMPARTED RIGHTEOUSNESS  EXPLAINED By Nyron Medina Statement of the case 1. Imputed and imparted righteousness are usually seen as different things in apostate  theology; they are presented as happening either successively or at the very same time,  but they are presented as two different salvific functions.  “In this most illuminating paragraph, the writer traces two distinct phases in the process  of our salvation—two complementary aspects of the plan of redemption—which are in a  certain sense successive, but at the same time simultaneous; two different operations of  the same righteousness of Christ, which alone can satisfy the demands of divine justice  and make saints of us. Let us analyze in outline form these two phases:  A. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST BY WHICH WE ARE JUSTIFIED.  1. It is imputed to us, which is, credited, granted freely without our earning it.  2. It provides our right to heaven. It is the only merit we can claim.
