WHAT IS THE CHURCH

Brethren it is so important that we understand what is the church and the organisation or structure of the church. The church is not the church of man but the church of God and as such He ought to be the sole authority. No president or pope is suppose to be the head but God. The members cannot function without the head. Ephesians 5:23 tells us that Christ is the head of the church " For as the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body." Ephesians 5:30 tells us that we (those who are sinfree) are the members of the church. "For we are the members of his body, of his flesh, and of his mind." For the body to function all the members of the body must be connected to the head which has the mind, the giant super computer, processing unit for it to function with purpose. All the members must move as one with the head, taking instructions from the head, like the heart beating and pumping the blood all throughout the circulatory system.

EGW QUOTE ON SINFUL NATURE

We are told that Jesus had our “sinful nature.” “He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, 7/30/02. “In him was no guile nor sinfulness,….yet He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ibid. From what we have just read, we see that the term “sinful nature” for Mrs. White does not mean that the person has sin for she says that Jesus was sinfree. But what does sinful nature mean that the person? A. It means human nature affected by sin not infected with  sin. B. It means human nature weakened by sin, but not resided by sin. C. This is the Mind, Emotions/Passions, Flesh and Experience weakened by sin, but not necessarily indwelt by sin. D. It is quite true that man’s sinful nature, a nature weakened by sin, in the average sinner may have sin in it.
