12. Justification changes the believer from the experience of sin to the experience of holiness; it is the “point of change” or “renewal”. Eze. 11:19,20; 1 Cor. 6:9-11.

14. Justification is also called “first-sanctification” in that it is separation from sin. 1 Cor. 6:11.
15. From the moment of Justification we are made to actually keep the Law of God. Rom. 3:28,30,31.

Some statements from Wesley’s book in which he is rejecting some teachings structured on anti-nomianism. (The underlined words are the false teachings that Mr. Wesley is answering back).
i “In order to entitle us to a reward, there must be an imputation of righteousness. There must be an interest in Christ; and then every man shall receive his own reward, according to his own labour.” John Wesley, The Works of John Wesley Vol. X, pg. 323.
ii. “A rebel may be forgiven, without being restored to the dignity of a son. A rebel against an earth king may, but not a rebel against God. In the very same moment that God forgives, we are the sons of God. Therefore this is an idle dispute . . .” Ibid, pg. 323.
iii. “The obedience of our surety is accepted instead of our own. This is neither a safe nor scriptural way of speaking. I would simply say, we are accepted through the Beloved. We have redemption through his blood.” I
