Salvation truly is being made just or righteous by the faith of Jesus. This shall be shown in the verse "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH".

However be aware of them which have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, (the power that is of godliness, or that is of God), the bible says from such turn away (2Tim.3:5). A form of godliness tells us when we are justified or saved from sin, we are made righteous in a make believe way or that God views us "as if" we are righteous without actually being righteous within. Always remember the bible tells us in 1 John 3:7 let no man deceive you, he that doeth righteousness is righteous , even as he is righteous. further in 1John 2:29 tells us "he that doeth righteousness is born of Him".
Let us now look at the context of the phrase "The just shall live by faith in Rom.1:16-17:
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
The summary point "the just shall live by faith" is in the context of what the power of God unto salvation is about.
The just living by faith is the just or righteous living by the faith of Jesus which has power as the above verses told us.
(Note it is the faith of Jesus or the faith that belongs to Jesus that has the power to save and not the faith that belongs to a human being as per say, see Phil.3:9, Rom.3:22, Rom.2:16, James 2:1)
Note also man of himself has no power of himself to live just or to be just or righteous (Rom.3:10), for there is only One that is just or righteous or good (Matt. 19:17) and we must have His power by His indwelling to have power to be just, good or righteous.
So by amplification of the verse "the just shall live by faith" we have now "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY THE FAITH OF JESUS"
Further amplification of the key phrase based on Rom.1:17 (please read over the verse) quoted above we have:
" THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN THE FAITH OF JESUS"
Further amplification based on Rom.1:16-17, (please read over the verse), we have:
"THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN THE FAITH OF JESUS WHICH IS IN THE GOSPEL"
Further amplification based of Eph.1:13 which tells us the gospel of our salvation is the word of truth, we have:
"THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN THE FAITH OF JESUS WHICH IS IN THE GOSPEL WHICH IS THE WORD OF TRUTH"
So what this developed summary statement tells us is that the commodity that allows the the just to be just and to live just is the Righteousness of God revealed in the faith of Jesus there in the gospel or the word of truth.
This is similar to what the Psalmist said in Psalms 119:11
"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
So there is power in the word of truth, however it must be noted that power is obtained because abiding in the word of truth (which shows forth the nature of God or the Righteousness of God/Love) allow us to have God in us, as it is written:
2John 9 "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son."
So we see here when scripture is interpreted by the Holy Spirit we will hear the voice of God saying "Be ye Holy for I am Holy" (1 Peter 1:16) not be ye Holy in a make believe way.
Maranatha, The Lord soon come, repent and believe the gospel for the Kingdom of God is nigh.
P.S. The faith of Jesus is the revealed truths or the revealed word of Jesus and is not the our believing or worst yet the believing of Jesus as I have shown in many other studies. You are to believe the revealed truth - the faith of Jesus to be empowered by the Righteousness of God therein but believing of itself is not the faith or the source of our empowerment, our empowerment in sinfreeness is from the indwelling of God Himself who is Yahweh our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...

MRS WHITE QUOTES ON THE 1888 MESSAGE REJECTION

1. “The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones.” — TM p. 91. 2. “God gave to His servants a testimony that presented the truth as it is in Jesus, which is the third angel’s message, in clear distinct lines” — TM p. 93. 3. “The message of the gospel of His grace was to be given to the church in clear and distinct lines, that the world should no longer say that Seventh-Day Adventists talk the law, the law, but do not teach or believe Christ. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power.” — TM p. 92. 4. “This is the very work which the Lord designs that the message He has given His servants, shall perform in the heart and mind of every human agent….God gave to His messengers just what the people needed.” — TM p. 95. 5. “The Lord would have these grand themes studied in our churches, and if every church member shall give entrance to the word of God it will give light and...

EGW QUOTE ON SINFUL NATURE

We are told that Jesus had our “sinful nature.” “He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, 7/30/02. “In him was no guile nor sinfulness,….yet He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ibid. From what we have just read, we see that the term “sinful nature” for Mrs. White does not mean that the person has sin for she says that Jesus was sinfree. But what does sinful nature mean that the person? A. It means human nature affected by sin not infected with  sin. B. It means human nature weakened by sin, but not resided by sin. C. This is the Mind, Emotions/Passions, Flesh and Experience weakened by sin, but not necessarily indwelt by sin. D. It is quite true that man’s sinful nature, a nature weakened by sin, in the average sinner may have sin in it. So sinful nature for the sinner in sin is a nature weakened by sin, but the man has sin in this nature. E. This means the man has sin in his Mind, Passions/Emotions, Experience, and sin in his flesh is sin in his Mi...
