THE MISSION OF SDA'S

The special mission of all true SDA is to preach the third angel message of Righteousness by Faith. However if we believe faith is believing our idea of our mission would be vague or well nigh lost and our purpose as a people lost. This is what happens when we believe our mission to all of the earth is to preach Righteousness by believing, because faith is thought to be believing. However Faith is the Divine word of God revealed by the Holy Spirit in the scriptures or the gospel, and by this one can be truly made Righteous within, because their thoughts are held captive by the Divine word. But Righteousness by believing is a an earthly work of man in accepting something as truth, and that could be any thing. Let our emphasis be on the Divine revelation of God for our salvation, that our mind will be convinced of the things of God who is Love, that from thence we shall truly believe that we may truly receive the Righteousness of God in the heart by the faith - the revealed truth.

EGW QUOTE ON SINFUL NATURE

We are told that Jesus had our “sinful nature.” “He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, 7/30/02. “In him was no guile nor sinfulness,….yet He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ibid. From what we have just read, we see that the term “sinful nature” for Mrs. White does not mean that the person has sin for she says that Jesus was sinfree. But what does sinful nature mean that the person? A. It means human nature affected by sin not infected with  sin. B. It means human nature weakened by sin, but not resided by sin. C. This is the Mind, Emotions/Passions, Flesh and Experience weakened by sin, but not necessarily indwelt by sin. D. It is quite true that man’s sinful nature, a nature weakened by sin, in the average sinner may have sin in it.
