Rev 13:4-5

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
"The name of blasphemy means that the power will blaspheme God in the two ways blasphemy is identified in the Bible.
i. The power will claim to be God. This is called blasphemy. Jn. 10:33.
ii. The power will claim to forgive sins which is also blasphemy. Mk.2:7.
h. The evidence of this beast so far, shows that it is religious, because it claims to be God and also to forgive sins. It is also worshipped. Rev. 13:1,4.
i. It is the Roman Catholic Papacy that has a human head that fulfills this type of blasphemy.
i. The Pope claims to be God on earth.
“The pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God, and the vicar of God…” Lucius Ferraris, Prompta Bibliotheca, vol. 6. Art. “Papa”
“We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty”. Pope Leo xiii in an Encyclical Letter, June 29, 1894. The Great Encyclical Letters of Leo xiii, p. 304.
ii. The pope claims power to forgive sins. This is what he delegates to priests that “forgive sins” in the confession box.
“The absolution given by the priest to a penitent who confesses his sins with the proper dispositions remits both the guilt and the eternal punishment (of mortal sin)… In the confessional the minister has the power to forgive all crimes committed after baptism.” Council of Trent quoted in, J. H. Meier, What Catholics and Protestants Should Know, p. 44." Revelation 13, Nyron Medina

Disproving the So-called Forensic Gospel

Disproving the So-called Forensic Gospel INTRODUCTION 1. The Bible tells us that any false gospel is a thing cursed by God. Galatians 1:6-9. 2. The false gospel makes us say Lord, Lord, but do not His Will, such people are lost.  Matthew 7:21-23. 3. The false gospel is described as untempered mortar that cannot help. Ezekiel 13:9-16. 4. It also tells a person peace, peace, (which is given by Justification) when there is no peace.  Romans 5:1; Jeremiah 8:10, 11. 5. However, the real Gospel is described as the power or science of God unto salvation  because it makes the believer, live by Faith. Romans 1:16, 17. 6. The Bible clearly explains that the Gospel of God’s Grace teaches denying ungodliness, it  teaches living righteously, it teaches that the purpose of the sacrifice of Christ was to  redeem us from all iniquities, (not in them), and to purify a people who are preoccupied  with performing good works. This is what ...

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...

MRS WHITE QUOTES ON THE 1888 MESSAGE REJECTION

1. “The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones.” — TM p. 91. 2. “God gave to His servants a testimony that presented the truth as it is in Jesus, which is the third angel’s message, in clear distinct lines” — TM p. 93. 3. “The message of the gospel of His grace was to be given to the church in clear and distinct lines, that the world should no longer say that Seventh-Day Adventists talk the law, the law, but do not teach or believe Christ. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power.” — TM p. 92. 4. “This is the very work which the Lord designs that the message He has given His servants, shall perform in the heart and mind of every human agent….God gave to His messengers just what the people needed.” — TM p. 95. 5. “The Lord would have these grand themes studied in our churches, and if every church member shall give entrance to the word of God it will give light and...
