• Therefore Mary is NOT “the Mother of God”, she is NOT divine, she too like the rest of us, was born in sin and sharpened towards iniquity and had to be justified/made righteous. Rom 3:23, Psa 51:5, 1 Cor 6:11.
vi) Jesus had two natures:
• His human nature- he had sinful flesh exactly like ours. Rom 8:3, Heb 2:14, 16, Phil 2:7, 8, Matt 4:2.
- Sinful flesh is not sin, it is just flesh affected (not infected) by sin. Heb 4:15.
- Yet he did not sin, so likewise we who have sinful flesh do not have to sin. 1 Pet 2:21, 22.
• He also had the Divine Nature dwelling in him, 2 Cor 5:19, Col 2:9.
vii) When the human nature of Jesus came out of the womb of Mary, the divine Nature was in him. Isa 9:6, Col 2:9, Lk 2:11, Ps 68:20, Ps 97:5.
viii) The incarnation of Jesus Christ teaches us how God dwells in us, He dwells in our minds through the Character of Christ or the truths of Christ, not making us Divine, our bodies don’t become divine, but the Divine Nature dwells in us. Eph 3:17, 1 Jn 4:13, 16, 2 Jn 9.
