THE NATURE OF THE CHRISTIAN TRANSFORMATION OR CHANGE

1. The heart of man is essentially evil. Jer. 17:9; Eccl. 8:11.
2. His thinking makes him what he is. (Pr. 23:7; Gen. 6:5).
3. What is in his heart causes the problem. Mk. 7:21-23.
4. The thoughts of his heart need forgiveness. Acts. 8:21,22.
5. The inside of man must be changed first. Matt. 23:25,26.
6. Man is changed by the renewal of the mind, this means that the intellectual powers of the brain is made to think in a different way or pattern for the man to know the will of God. Rom. 12:2.
7. The spirit in man is his experience. 1 Cor. 2:11.
8. To transform the mind or intellectual powers (which is to have it think in a right way), God must first change the spirit or experience of the man. Eph. 4:23; Rom. 2:29; Ps. 51:10.
9. The "old man" experience is removed and a "new man" experience (of the nature of God, love), is substituted. (Eph. 4:22-24; 1 Jn. 4:8,16).
10. A new experience is given by casting down the old experience which exalts creation and by giving a knowledge that exalts God. (2 Cor. 10:5; 2 Cor. 4:6,7).
11. The spirit of God gives our spirit or experience a new experience. (1 Jn. 2:27; Job. 32:8).
This is the only way in which we can glorify God in truth. 1 Cor. 6:20.

Disproving the So-called Forensic Gospel

Disproving the So-called Forensic Gospel INTRODUCTION 1. The Bible tells us that any false gospel is a thing cursed by God. Galatians 1:6-9. 2. The false gospel makes us say Lord, Lord, but do not His Will, such people are lost.  Matthew 7:21-23. 3. The false gospel is described as untempered mortar that cannot help. Ezekiel 13:9-16. 4. It also tells a person peace, peace, (which is given by Justification) when there is no peace.  Romans 5:1; Jeremiah 8:10, 11. 5. However, the real Gospel is described as the power or science of God unto salvation  because it makes the believer, live by Faith. Romans 1:16, 17. 6. The Bible clearly explains that the Gospel of God’s Grace teaches denying ungodliness, it  teaches living righteously, it teaches that the purpose of the sacrifice of Christ was to  redeem us from all iniquities, (not in them), and to purify a people who are preoccupied  with performing good works. This is what ...

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...

MRS WHITE QUOTES ON THE 1888 MESSAGE REJECTION

1. “The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones.” — TM p. 91. 2. “God gave to His servants a testimony that presented the truth as it is in Jesus, which is the third angel’s message, in clear distinct lines” — TM p. 93. 3. “The message of the gospel of His grace was to be given to the church in clear and distinct lines, that the world should no longer say that Seventh-Day Adventists talk the law, the law, but do not teach or believe Christ. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power.” — TM p. 92. 4. “This is the very work which the Lord designs that the message He has given His servants, shall perform in the heart and mind of every human agent….God gave to His messengers just what the people needed.” — TM p. 95. 5. “The Lord would have these grand themes studied in our churches, and if every church member shall give entrance to the word of God it will give light and...
