JUSTIFICATION IS SUBJECTIVE CHANGE

1. Faith is the revealed Truth of the Plan of Salvation. Heb. 11:1; 1 Tim. 4:6; Rom. 10:8.
2. Justification is through Faith. Gal. 3:8.
3. Justification is through the Truth. Isa. 53:11.
4. God places the Truth in the heart. Ps. 51:6; 2 kings. 20:3.
5. As Righteousness is in the Truth then Righteousness is in the heart. (Rom. 1:16,17; Ps. 40:10).
6. When God counts or imputes this Righteousness to us it is ours in our hearts. (Rom. 4:11; Isa. 51:1; Ps. 36:10).
7. Thus we are indeed righteous. 1 Jn. 3:7.

EGW QUOTE ON SINFUL NATURE

We are told that Jesus had our “sinful nature.” “He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, 7/30/02. “In him was no guile nor sinfulness,….yet He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ibid. From what we have just read, we see that the term “sinful nature” for Mrs. White does not mean that the person has sin for she says that Jesus was sinfree. But what does sinful nature mean that the person? A. It means human nature affected by sin not infected with  sin. B. It means human nature weakened by sin, but not resided by sin. C. This is the Mind, Emotions/Passions, Flesh and Experience weakened by sin, but not necessarily indwelt by sin. D. It is quite true that man’s sinful nature, a nature weakened by sin, in the average sinner may have sin in it.
