It is falsely believed that imparted righteousness is an actual righteousness placed towards a persons human character to make them a little more righteous while yet being unrighteous in their spiritual state. So in effect this false belief has a righteousness that is given, that just makes you a little less unrighteous. Then to compliment this belief one is falsely told that imputed righteousness which is not placed in the person is the righteousness that makes up for the lack of righteousness since imparted righteousness is deemed as an insufficient righteousness. Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...
