THE FIVE SANCTUARIES OF THE BIBLE By Nyron Medina

SANCTUARY ONE.
1. God told Moses to build a sanctuary. Ex. 25:8,9.
2. The teaching of the sanctuary was to secure God’s dwelling among Israel. Ex. 25:8; Lev. 26:11,12.
3. In the promise land the sanctuary was placed in a place called Shiloh. Josh. 18:1; Jud. 18:30,31; 1 Sam. 1:24.
4. Shiloh was destroyed and the Lord forsook there after the Philistine took the Ark of the Covenant.
a. The Ark of the Covenant was taken by the Philistine. 1 Sam. 4:3-5,10,11,17,22.
b. The ark is returned and placed in Kirjathjearim. 1 Sam. 6:13-15; 1 Sam. 7:1,2.
c. But Shiloh was destroyed and no more temple (sanctuary) was there. Ps. 78:58-64; Jer. 7:12,14; Jer. 26:6,9.
SANCTUARY TWO.
1. David made a new sanctuary for the Ark of the Covenant and placed it there. 2 Sam. 6:1,2,10-12,17.
2. David wanted to build a house (sanctuary) for God, but God objected and said his son Solomon would build it. 2 Sam. 7:1,2,4-7,12,13.
SANCTUARY THREE.
1. Solomon built God’s house (sanctuary) and dedicated it to God. ! Kn. 6:1,14,37,38; 1 Kn. 8:1-11.
2. Many years later that same sanctuary was infiltrated with idolatry and idols. Eze. 8:1-18.
3. Thus the glory (the Shekinah) of God left this sanctuary. Eze. 10:1-7,15-19.
4. This sanctuary built by Solomon was eventually destroyed by the Babylonians. 2 Chr. 36:14-19.
SANCTUARY FOUR.
1. After 70 years of exile God moved upon Cyrus to allow the Jews to rebuild the sanctuary. Ezra. 1:1-5.
2. Stages in its rebuilding and its final finish. Ezra. 3:1-6,8; Ezra. 6:14-18.
3. A prophecy that Christ would come to this sanctuary. Hag. 2:6-9.
4. Eventually Christ came and taught in this repaired sanctuary. Jn. 7:14-16; Jn. 2:18-20; Lk. 21:37.
a. He cleansed the temple. Jn. 2:13-17; Matt. 21:12-17.
b. Finally Christ prophesied of its destruction by the Romans. Lk. 21:5,6; Matt. 24:1,2; Dan. 9:26,27.
5. When Christ died the veil was rent in two symbolizing that the earthly sanctuary and its services lost its validity. Matt. 27:50,51; Mk. 15:37,38.
SANCTUARY FIVE.
1. There is a real and true heavenly sanctuary. Heb. 8:2; Heb. 9:11.
2. Christ was inaugurated as the High Priest and minister of this heavenly sanctuary. Heb. 8:1-3,6; Heb. 4:14-16.
3. As its counterpart on earth, this heavenly sanctuary has two apartments. (Heb. 8:5; Heb. 9:1-7).
4. The way into the first apartment of the heavenly sanctuary was not yet made manifest while the first apartment of the earthly sanctuary was yet in service. Heb. 9:8,9; Heb. 9:1-7.
5. When Christ rose again and entered into heaven, He entered into the first apartment of the heavenly sanctuary. Heb. 9:12,24,25; Heb. 10:19.
6. Christ entered into the second apartment of the heavenly sanctuary in the year 1844 at the end of the 2300 days/years for the Investigative Judgment. Dan. 8:14; Dan. 7:9,10,13; Rev. 11:18,19.
7. God’s way – the Truths of Christ, the Plan of Salvation – is in the sanctuary. (Ps. 77:13; Jn. 14:6; 2 Jn. 9).
8. The Papacy took suppressing dominion over the gospel. Dan. 7:24,25.
9. But when the judgment sits he loses that dominion. Dan. 7:9,10,13,26.
10. The judgment starts when the second apartment of the heavenly sanctuary is open, thus at that time the Papacy loses his obscuring dominion over the gospel. Rev. 11: 18,19.
11. This is the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, thus at this event the Papacy loses its dominion over the gospel. Dan. 8:14.
12. The Papal little horn tramples the Truth. Dan. 8:11-13.
13. How long is he allowed to do this? Unto two thousand and three hundred days/years, at the beginning of the cleansing of the sanctuary, thus at this date the Papacy loses his obscuring dominion. Dan.8:13,14.
14. The mystery of God is to be completed at the sounding of the seventh angel. Rev. 10:7.
15. The mystery of God is the gospel. Eph. 6:19.
16. When the seventh angel sounds the judgment begins in the second apartment of the heavenly sanctuary. Rev. 11:15-19.
17. Thus with the recovery of the full gospel we must preach the Truth again. Rev. 10:11.

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...

MRS WHITE QUOTES ON THE 1888 MESSAGE REJECTION

1. “The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones.” — TM p. 91. 2. “God gave to His servants a testimony that presented the truth as it is in Jesus, which is the third angel’s message, in clear distinct lines” — TM p. 93. 3. “The message of the gospel of His grace was to be given to the church in clear and distinct lines, that the world should no longer say that Seventh-Day Adventists talk the law, the law, but do not teach or believe Christ. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power.” — TM p. 92. 4. “This is the very work which the Lord designs that the message He has given His servants, shall perform in the heart and mind of every human agent….God gave to His messengers just what the people needed.” — TM p. 95. 5. “The Lord would have these grand themes studied in our churches, and if every church member shall give entrance to the word of God it will give light and...

EGW QUOTE ON SINFUL NATURE

We are told that Jesus had our “sinful nature.” “He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen G. White, Signs of the Times, 7/30/02. “In him was no guile nor sinfulness,….yet He took upon Him our sinful nature.” Ibid. From what we have just read, we see that the term “sinful nature” for Mrs. White does not mean that the person has sin for she says that Jesus was sinfree. But what does sinful nature mean that the person? A. It means human nature affected by sin not infected with  sin. B. It means human nature weakened by sin, but not resided by sin. C. This is the Mind, Emotions/Passions, Flesh and Experience weakened by sin, but not necessarily indwelt by sin. D. It is quite true that man’s sinful nature, a nature weakened by sin, in the average sinner may have sin in it. So sinful nature for the sinner in sin is a nature weakened by sin, but the man has sin in this nature. E. This means the man has sin in his Mind, Passions/Emotions, Experience, and sin in his flesh is sin in his Mi...
