1. A person needs to know what to do to be saved, the Bible says that a person must repent of all their sins and believe the gospel. Mark 1:14,15.
The person needs to confess his sins to God, he needs to admit to God that he has sinned with all the wickedness he have done throughout all his life. Romans 10:9,10. [example Psalms 51:1-17].
Then God will justify the person, this is changing the person’s mind from being carnal to spiritual. (Romans 8:5-8; Romans 5:1).
The person is changed form sin to holiness. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
Justification is the gift of the Holy Spirit into the heart. (Galatians 3:7-9,14; Galatians 4:6).
When a person is justified they are made to keep the Law of God. Romans 3:28-31.
This is why Christ said that to enter into life a person must keep the Law. Matthew 19:17.
The Law is written in the heart that a person might keep it. Mark 7:21-23; Hebrews 8:10).
The person needs to keep the whole Law because he will be judged by the Law of God. James 2:8-12.
This involves keeping the Sabbath also in Hebrews 4:9 (The word “rest” is a wrong translation. The real Greek word is “Sabbatismos” and it means actually “Sabbath-keeping”). Thus “the people of God” will rest the Seventh-day as God did, keeping the Sabbath. Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11.
Christians are spiritual Jews. Romans 2:28,29.
A spiritual Israelite is one who has a pure heart. Psalms 73:1.
The Sabbath is the only “obedience-sign” of serving the true God, and God’s people will have that sign. Exodus 31:13; Ezekiel 20:12,20.
God’s last day saints will have the Faith of Jesus Christ and keep the Law. Revelation 14:12.
Those who through the truth have kept God’s Law will have the right to enter into the new city and partake of the tree of Life. Revelation 22:14
A person must daily, as much as possible, study the Bible with the words of God it contains for correction. 2 Timothy 3:15-17.
Keeping or hiding the word of God in the heart will cause one to overcome sin. Psalms 119:9,11.
1. The nominal General-Conference S. D. A. Church no longer teach that Justification is a change of heart, but that sin remains alive in the justified person. This is not the Gospel; the S. D. A. Church no longer have the real Gospel, but a counterfeit of it. Hear them:
a. “Again, justification is almost fiction. We are sinners on the inside. Our characters are evil. But in spite of this plain fact, God treats us as though we are perfect on the inside.” Marvin Moore, Conquering the Dragon Within, p. 24.
b. “… I believe that specific behavior is often of less importance than whether my will is surrendered to God’s will. Because if my will is right, my behaviour will be right — even if it’s wrong!” Robert S. Folkenberg, We Still Believe, p. 44.
