THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST IS THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST TO REASONABLY EXPLAIN GOD - THE DIVINE NATURE - LOVE, THAT WE MAY HAVE THAT LOVE
Christ's teaching is an explanation of the Divine Nature of God through the Divine character of God/teachings of Christ. As it is written "18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared (exegeted) him." That declaration or better translated reasonable explanation of Him was done by Christ through His teachings. The character of Christ was revealed that we may have the the Divine Nature or the Love of God in us as it is written. "And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." We are also told that the Word which is God (John 1:1) became flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth. The glory of God or the Love of God manifested in the character of Christ was for us to have His Love in us. This is why 2John 9 tells us He that abideth in the doctrines of Christ, he hath both the Father (Father Nature) and the Son (Divine character).
