STUDY CAREFULLY
Faith establishes law keeping in a person- Rom.3:31 & James 2:18,20. So Abraham's faith counted unto him by God for righteousness - Rom.4:3 must effect law keeping through righteousness placed in the heart of Abraham and not on an account outside of him. See texts mentioned above quoted below:
Rom.3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
James 2:18,20,12
8 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works (law keeping works is the context of the chapter): shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works (law keeping works).
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Verse 12 gives the context of the works in James 2:18,10. I quote: "So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty."
Rom.4:3
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
