If the Christian cannot be Righteous within as some teach, then why the text is saying don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness. The text implies the true Christian who is righteous is not to be yoked with the unrighteous. This means God does make us sinfree when he dwells in us through justification/forgiveness.
2Cor.6:14,16 kjv
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."
