1 Corinthians 11:18 KJV
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
Paul partly believe, he used human ability an action of the mind
Let us think,
The knowledge of the divisions in the Corinthian church is that Paul's human ability to believe. Is it not separated? are there not two seperated things 1 the knowledge of the division and 2 Paul's mental action. partly believe.
- The bible tells us faith saves. Are we to think the knowledge of God saves or the believing saves, for some think that faith is believing as opposed to it being the revealed truths of Spirit. As such they think believing saves.
Titus 3:5 tells us by God's mercy He saves us by the washing of regeneration and by the renewing of the Holy Spirit. So we are saved when we are washed or cleansed by the Holy Spirit. John 15:3, Psalms 119:9, Eph.5:26 (Ezek.36:25) tells us we cleansed by the word. So the faith of Jesus which we are told saves us must be the revealed truths of the Spirit (Note the Spirit reveals the truths of Christ - John 14:26, John 16:13,14) or the revealed word of God and not believing or the believing of Jesus. Yes we must believe the word as fulfilling the condition for God to save us by the word, but the faith itself is not our believing. So the faith or the knowledge of God is different to our believing.
