I believe in what I would call Jesusism, in hebrew Yashwaism, this means -Yahweh Saviour- Saviour from sin (Matt.1:21). When Jesus abideth in us we sin not 1John 3:6, that is we keep the law fully when he is in us. If we sin it is because we build back the old man that was once destroyed (Gal.2:17,18), and need to be re-instated by forgiveness/justification when we repent (1John1:9). The bible says the pharisees sought after the law of righteousness but did not obtain it because they sought it not by faith (Rom:9:31,32). Eph.3:7 tells us Christ dwells in our hearts through faith- the reveal truths. So when the bible says we establish the law through faith (Rom.3:31), It is Jesus Yahweh-Saviour that is in our hearts by the faith-the reveal truths- that fully establishes the law in our works. Remember Phil.2:13 that God worketh in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. So don't let the pharisees wrong method of seeking after righteousness or sinfreeness prevent you from seeking after righteousness through the right method which is through faith.
WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...
