MRS. E.G.WHITE WAS FOR DE-CENTRALIZATION AND FOR AUTONOMOUS CHURCHES. READ THE FOLLOWING WITH QUOTES:

Mrs. White made this statement in 1903 General Conference as part of what was referred to as the "minority of the committee". The "minority of the committee" was against the decision of the majority of the General Conference 1903 participants who had made the decision to be more centralized or hierarchical in their method of organizing the work of the churches in the world, though the same individuals had supported E.G.White position in 1901 General Conference against it. The "minority of the committee" had men as Willie White, E.A. Sutherland and A.T.Jones. Here are some quotes:
"God's organization must come from the Head, which is Jesus Christ, the Head of the church, and it reaches to the individual ...There was here presented today and endorsed, and appeal of local self government in a certain place, Very good.... but each Conference must be a self governing local conference, and each church must be a local self governing church, and each individual must be a local self governing individual. But no man in this world can be a self governing individual except as God in Jesus Christ is his Head.." 1901 General Conference Bulletin pg.26 A.T. Jones
"Where was Jesus Chrsit authority? When He did not have a position or a place? ... It was in the truth he preached from God..." A.T. Jones GCB pg.42
In 1903 as part of the "Minority of the Committee' Elder E.T. Jones together with others pleaded with the majority to hold to the past constitution of 1901:
"The Conference Committee governs itself, attends to its own business, and lets other people's business alone. The Union Conference itself is a self governing committee. It governs itself, not the confererence, not any of the churches, nobody in the conference." He was asked " What would you do with a man that would not preach just as the committee taught he should? He replied " Let him preach the gospel. I do not know what is in that question; but you all know what to do. A man is not to preach for the committee; he is not employed by the committee; he does not belong to the committee. He preaches for Jesus Christ; he belongs to Jesus Christ, and the committee must belong to Jesus Christ, and serve Christ, and let the other man alone, and let him preach the gospel which Christ gives." A.T. Jones 1903 General Confernce Bulletin pg156

Disproving the So-called Forensic Gospel

Disproving the So-called Forensic Gospel INTRODUCTION 1. The Bible tells us that any false gospel is a thing cursed by God. Galatians 1:6-9. 2. The false gospel makes us say Lord, Lord, but do not His Will, such people are lost.  Matthew 7:21-23. 3. The false gospel is described as untempered mortar that cannot help. Ezekiel 13:9-16. 4. It also tells a person peace, peace, (which is given by Justification) when there is no peace.  Romans 5:1; Jeremiah 8:10, 11. 5. However, the real Gospel is described as the power or science of God unto salvation  because it makes the believer, live by Faith. Romans 1:16, 17. 6. The Bible clearly explains that the Gospel of God’s Grace teaches denying ungodliness, it  teaches living righteously, it teaches that the purpose of the sacrifice of Christ was to  redeem us from all iniquities, (not in them), and to purify a people who are preoccupied  with performing good works. This is what ...

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES SHOULD BE?

WHAT OUR INQUIRY ABOUT OURSELVES  SHOULD BE? We are in the very last days, we are told that the last controversy will be very short. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short, but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. We have a great work to do. Our ministerial work must not cease. The last warning must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time. How long will it last? Only a little while.” Ellen G. White, Selected Messages bk. 3, pg. 419. And in view of the lateness of time, what should be the inquiry of everyone? We are told: “The inquiry of everyone should be ‘whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?” Ibid, pg. 419. We must needs examine ourselves to see if we...

MRS WHITE QUOTES ON THE 1888 MESSAGE REJECTION

1. “The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones.” — TM p. 91. 2. “God gave to His servants a testimony that presented the truth as it is in Jesus, which is the third angel’s message, in clear distinct lines” — TM p. 93. 3. “The message of the gospel of His grace was to be given to the church in clear and distinct lines, that the world should no longer say that Seventh-Day Adventists talk the law, the law, but do not teach or believe Christ. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power.” — TM p. 92. 4. “This is the very work which the Lord designs that the message He has given His servants, shall perform in the heart and mind of every human agent….God gave to His messengers just what the people needed.” — TM p. 95. 5. “The Lord would have these grand themes studied in our churches, and if every church member shall give entrance to the word of God it will give light and...
